At approximately 1:30 pm today, i was driving my 2006 dodge durango when both side airbags deployed without the vehicle being struck. We were in traffic, moving at a rate of about 25 mph and had just completed a left turn. There was no exterior damage to the vehicle. The durango was towed to the dealer for inspection. There were two passengers and a driver in the suv at the time of the deployment. *tr

Airbag light is on. I took it to a dodge dealer to check it out. They said that the left side impact airbag control module is bad and maybe the airbag, also the airbag module itself may be bad. Said that it is not covered under warranty since it is electrical. I thought when it came to safety issue such as airbags, that it was a federal law that those items are fixed for free. *tr
