Early generation dodge durango (98-01) has abs problems, causing abs to shut down, leaving the brake pedal very low. I have researched this to be a very common problem and the vehicle was never recalled on this. Fix to problem seems to only be a complete brake system rebuild, with aftermarket parts to fix the problem and not have it return again.
