    While driving on i 495 durango started accelerating without me pushing the gas pedal. It kept accelerating even when i pushed the brakes lightly. There were cars braking in front of me, and i was still accelerating. I had to press the brakes down to the floor and drive on the shoulder. Once on the shoulder i pulled the emergency brake and turned the ignition off.*ak

    My durango accelerates for no reason at all while it is stopped. It happens most frequently after going up a small hill in drive and then putting the car in reverse. When the car is put in reverse it accelerates.*ak
