I got a recall letter for my 2005 dodge durango at around 60,000 miles. I was told that the recall did not match my suv vin and that nothing was wrong. I now have 76,000 miles on the durango and it started throwing up fuel when completing a fill up. This happens everytime now. Dodge already said my truck was good and that nothing was wrong with it. I am sure you they will try and tell me to cover the cost on my own.…

Upon filling up at a gas station. My 2005 dodge durango slt will spit fuel back approx 5 secs after clicking off at the pump. My truck was built jan 2005, 1 month outside of the orginal recall window and subsequent new window. I have checked the www and it seems alot of owners have similar issues. I would suggest that the original clean/ dirty point provided by the teir 1 supplier was incorrect and infact did not…

Starting about two months ago every time i filled my gas tank a large volume of gas would splash out of the filler neck as the tank appeared to be approaching full. In addition, the "gascap" light would constantly illuminate. There appears to be an unbelievable fire hazard with this situation. I called chrysler/dodge about the problem and was told there was a recall on these events but my vehicle was not included in…

My 2005 dodge durango is spilling fuel from the filler neck upon filling up the gas tank. I called my local dealership and was told that my durango is not involved with a recall for this issue using my vin#. This is unacceptable and unfair. My durango has a manf date of 10/04. This is a safety issue that dodge needs to fix regardless if affected tank relief valve issue was resolved at a certain date. Dodge needs to…

This problem began in july 2008. Everytime i try to put fuel in my vehicle it ends up spewing back out of the tank all over me, the vehicle and the pavement. My dealer looked into it and said it was a valve problem but would require the replacement of the entire tank with a cost of at least $1000. I have seen other 2005 dodge durango's getting recalls but my vin does not come up as getting this recall. This is…

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge durango. While adding fuel to the vehicle it began to come out of the fuel tank. The dealer stated that there were no existing recalls and he would be responsible for the repair. The failure mileage was 83,000.

While filling the gas tank and when the tank is full, the fuel filler nozzle clicks off but then gasoline overflows out of the fuel tank filler neck and usually sprays into the air. This happens 99% of ever refueling trip to a gas station. The gas usually sprays out and gets all over the person refueling. I had the dodge dealership look into this issue at the time of the first incident but nothing was done to fix…
