Headlights will randomly turn off and on or just completely off. Simply pushing on the headlight switch can reproduce the problem. The fix is to replace the headlight switch. I disassembled the old switch, and the problem is that the surface mount component of the switch came loose on one corner and allowed intermittent contact with the circuit.
