Hil adding gas, the fuel overflow does not shut off when full. Gas spills out of the tube and runs down the side of the durango and onto the ground. There is considerable rusting under the fill tube. I purchased thsi vehicle 4 years ago and it has always done this. The rust area had been repaired prior to me purchasing so i am assuming this has happened before my ownership as well.

This vehicle had a fuel overflow problem. Chrysler has a lifetime warranty on fixing this. The problem is that the gas that was continuously overflowing on fill-up has caused the vehicle to rust under the gas tank. Chrysler is saying this is not covered. Also on the lift gate under the silver piece above the handle there is rust forming from dripping on each side of this silver piece. I believe this is a manufacture…

When fueling the vehicle the gas pump clicks off then fuel spews out the filler neck of the vehicle this has caused the paint to come off and a hole to rust in the side of the vehicle just under the fuel cap. *tr

Every time we fuel up the durango, no matter how slow, or even if we allow it to "breathe"... When it gets close to full it shoots out fuel..seriously shoots it out, like 2 feet. We cant fuel it past 1/2 without this happening. Also fuel leaks from somewhere in the fuel fill tube to the tank when ever we fuel at all. I see other durangos have similar complaints for this model year. *tr

When filling fuel tank, when tank is full, gas will spill out filler neck. The spilled gas splashes everywhere, and has been on the body below the filler neck enough times that it has caused the paint to lift, and a rust hole to form in the fender. No other rust on vehicle. *tr

Fuel tank overflows during fill up. Spilling tons of gas. Because of the overflow there is a lot of rust forming on body were gas tank is. I have taken it to body shop to see about getting the rust fixed but said would have to replace that whole area because rust ate through. To be honest i thought i was doing something wrong when filling up at the gas station or something was wrong with the pump for a long time…

When filling gas tank to capacity, the gas pump shuts off and gas spews from the vehicle out onto the vehicle and ground. I would estimate maybe 1/2 to 1 gallon of gas is involved. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, sherwood, of salisbury, md in 2011 to have problem addressed. Was told that there was no problem to be fixed. Received letter dated 2/1/2013 from chrysler group llc stating that the warranty on the…

When filling the gas tank the fuel splashes and pours out all over me and the vehicle. The paint on the vehicle that is exposed to the fuel has begun to bubble and rust. *tr if the inconvenience and hazard of the spill isn't enough the loss of fuel at today's high prices is an injustice that needs to be addressed. Please help us! We paid a lot for our vehicle and now it looks like crap! Dodge should care more about…

The fuel tank overflows at the gas station if filled completely. There is nothing to stop this from happening. I have tried adjusting the way i hold the gasoline nozzle, but nothing seems to make any difference. This is a fire hazard! It is hard to keep if from happening. When it happens, gasoline flies out everywhere, getting all over the vehicle and myself. It is scary. This needs a recall! In addition, the body…

Fuel tank overflows during fill up.i just receive a recall on this issue on 2/01/2013. I bought this car new on march of 2006. I don't know when this problem starts but notice the problem and blame the gas station for their pump not working properly.
